Pamela Phipps

Pamela is a registered oncology nurse with more than 10 years’ practical experience in hospital and outpatient oncology environments. She is a chemotherapy and biotherapy certified nurse. With a solid background in nursing and EMR plus great working relationships with industry vendors, Pamela excels at helping facilities navigate challenges such as Meaningful Use. She has provided expert technical support to hospitals across the nation, ensuring smooth transitions in migrating to EMR and redefining existing workflow to work within it. Pamela provides interim leadership for programs that need an experienced nurse manager while the organization recruits a full-time employee.

Pam has experience in Nucleus inventory management, formatting regimens in CPOE, MU, PQRS, CQMs, E-Rx, Equicare Patient Portal, Centricity, G4 and electronic signature pads. She is also an EMR specialist, with more than seven years’ experience in Varian’s ARIA, both in radiation oncology and medical oncology. She is well-versed in Unlimited Systems, Sure Scripts, Camtasia, Citrix XenApp, Visio and Go-Live.

Before joining The Oncology Group, Pamela held positions in Wyoming and Tennessee as a medical oncology nurse, chemotherapy infusion nurse and EMR application specialist.

Pamela received her Bachelor of Science degree in nursing from the University of Nebraska Medical Center-Scottsbluff and an associate degree in interdisciplinary studies from Eastern Wyoming College-Torrington. She is a member of the Oncology Nursing Society and the Wyoming Nurse Association.
